September 12, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am
When: 8:00 AM on Tuesday WSU test plot on Rd. 111 in Pasco.
Where: We will meet at the test plot on Rd 111 in Pasco. Please park off the left hand side of rd. 111 up towards the grapes. DIRECTIONS: Go south on Rd. 100 to West Court street. Turn west (right) on West Court street to Rd 111, the WSU test plot. It is easy to find.
What to bring: Water to drink. Going this early we should be able to beat the heat, but bring water to keep yourself hydrated. I know this is not a normal Saturday gleaning, but if you can come and help us it would be appreciated. There are over 20,000 lbs. of onion to harvest and the amount we glean will depend on the number of volunteers we have.
What to wear: Close-toed shoes, long pants, Hats, and sunscreen. If you have kitchen shears and gloves, please bring them also.
IF YOU ARE NEW…please arrive a little early to the check-in site to complete your training, liability form, and registration form. Parents and legal guardians are the only adults who can sign for minors. Click here to print your forms to complete for each volunteer.
We need 20-25 volunteers. If you are planning to join us, please click the button below. This gives us an idea of how many people will be in attendance.
