Time: 8 am to approx. 11 am
Here are the details:
- Check-in is at at 2nd Harvest at 8:00 a.m. - 810 E Chemical Drive in Kennewick (near the Cable Bridge).
- Meet in the parking lot to check-in, get a name tag, etc.
- We will leave 2nd Harvest as soon as check-in is complete and caravan to the gleaning site.
- Carpooling is encouraged.
- Bring: drinking water, gloves are optional
- Wear: close-toed shoes since the grass in the orchard will be wet
About the Giving Greens Garden
Our local garden came about when three homeowners offered their property for the purposes of growing produce for the local food banks. The garden is located near Leslie Rd. and Gage Blvd. (see map below). A variety of produce is ready for harvesting! All produce that is harvested is taken to the local food banks or to Second Harvest Tri-Cities.
