Give Produce

Participating Farmers/Producers

To date, we have harvested apples, sweet cherries, carrots, potatoes, and corn from commercial farms. Some of participating farmers have included:

•    Middleton Orchards, Eltopia WA (apples, sweet cherries)
•    Middleton Six Sons Farms, Pasco, WA (corn)
•    Klaustermeyer Farms, Mesa, WA (carrots)
•    Watts Brothers Farm (ConAgra Foods), Patterson WA (corn and potatoes)

We have also picked plums, apricots, tomatoes, and grapes from residential sites. We are always looking for new crops to harvest.

Participating farmers may be the recipients of a tax benefit. Second Harvest sends farmers a receipt for the produce gleaned from their fields or orchards. We recommend that donors contact their accountant for further details.

Leviticus 19:9-10 - When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.
Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the Lord your God. (NIV)
